Park Community Credit Union re-launched their philanthropic arm today. Established in 2019 as Nspire, the Foundation rebranded as Park Community Credit Union Foundation, a separate 501(c)(3) public charity with its own board of directors. “As Park Community has grown over the years, so has our commitment to our members and communities we serve,” said Jim Spradlin, Park Community Credit Union CEO. “The Foundation will allow us to be more impactful, increasing our philanthropic efforts and supporting local organizations.”
The Foundation embodies the commitment of the credit union motto, “people helping people,” with a vision to build a more vibrant community where everyone has equitable access to learn, grow, and thrive. The Foundation will focus on three impact areas: financial well-being, education, and thriving communities. Leading the Foundation is Shannon Kisselbaugh, Executive Director. Shannon brings a wealth of experience and passion in nonprofits and fundraising. Shannon will be responsible for activating the strategic plan, overseeing grant programs, securing revenue, and establishing long-term success for the foundation. “I am excited to build on the work Park has done and further the community development
mission,” says Shannon. “I am even more excited to partner and support local nonprofits who are providing impactful services to the members and communities we serve.”
To celebrate the re-launch, the Foundation created the Pathways to Prosperity Grant Program. This program will award a total of $75,000 to qualifying nonprofit organizations for projects in Kentucky and Southern Indiana that align with one of the Foundation’s three impact areas – financial well-being, education, and thriving communities. The deadline to apply for the grant is Thursday, May 18 at 5pm. For application details and additional information, visit parkcommunity.com/foundation.
