Chartway Credit Union is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Directors’ Memorial Scholarships. This year, Chartway expanded eligibility beyond traditional undergraduate and graduate degree programs to include vocational, trade, technical, certificate, and licensure-based educational programs. In total, 13 student-members received $4,000 each in academic assistance. This scholarship program is part of the credit union’s more than $1M annual commitment to the community in the form of scholarships, Chartway Promise Foundation grants, financial education, and crisis relief.
Created in 1989, the Directors’ Memorial Scholarship program supports members who are graduating high school seniors, current college students, or participating in a vocational, trade, technical, certification, or licensure program, and returning students pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree. Since its inception, the program has awarded more than $680,000 to Chartway members seeking financial assistance to pursue their educational and professional goals.
