Connect. Collaborate. Leave Inspired.

In an ever-evolving industry, one mission remains constant: expanding access, strengthening communities, and advancing financial inclusion.

Callahan’s in-person roundtables bring together credit union executives from across the country for candid, peer-driven conversations focused on today’s most pressing challenges and opportunities. Designed for open dialogue and practical insight, these sessions create space for leaders to learn from one another and explore what’s next — together.

This May, Callahan & Associates and CU Strategic Planning, a Callahan company, are bringing that experience to Columbus, Ohio, for a dedicated CDFI Roundtable.

What To Expect?
Every Callahan roundtable is attendee-driven, ensuring the conversation is shaped entirely by the executives in the room. While the agenda remains flexible, discussions will reflect the realities CDFI leaders are navigating today, with a focus on shared learning, candid dialogue, and practical takeaways.
This in-person format allows for deeper discussion, stronger connections, and the kind of collaboration that only happens when leaders step away from day-to-day demands to engage face-to-face.
  • Balancing mission and sustainability: How are CDFI leaders advancing community impact while maintaining financial strength and long-term viability?
  • Deploying capital effectively: How are organizations prioritizing lending, programs, and investments to meet community needs in the current environment?
  • Measuring and communicating impact: How are CDFIs defining success and telling their story properly?
  • Funding and partner strategy: How are leaders approaching grants and funding amid shifting requirements and competition, and how can local partnerships support increased lending?
  • Operational capacity and scale: How are CDFIs assessing internal capacity and making decisions about growth?
  • Regulatory and reporting considerations: How are leaders navigating compliance expectations while remaining focused on mission delivery?
  • Collaboration and partnerships: How are CDFIs working with leagues, credit unions, and community organizations to expand reach and effectiveness?
Who Should Attend?
This roundtable is designed for credit union executives involved in CDFI strategy, leadership, and community impact. While we focus on executive-level participation, we understand that roles and responsibilities vary by organization. If you’re unsure whether this roundtable is the right fit — or who from your credit union should attend — please reach out and we’ll help guide you.
To maintain a productive and engaged discussion, participation is limited to one attendee per credit union.
Registration & Eligibility
This special roundtable is open to executives at credit unions that are certified CDFIs and have roundtable access through their Callahan subscription. In addition, the following exceptions apply for this event:
  • Ohio-based CDFIs associated with the Ohio Credit Union League that are not current Callahan clients may attend at no cost, as a thank-you for our partnership with the League.
  • Callahan clients on Standard or Advanced levels (without roundtable access) who are CDFIs are also invited with a $750 registration fee.
  • Non-client CDFIs outside Ohio are welcome to join with a $750 registration fee.
