Consumer and real estate lending continues to shift as interest rates, member demand, and regulatory expectations evolve. For credit union executives, staying ahead requires not only managing risk and loan performance but also aligning lending strategies with member needs and long-term organizational goals.

This virtual roundtable is designed as a moment-in-time conversation for credit union lending leaders to connect with peers, share real-world experience, and discuss how they are responding to current market dynamics. In a small, peer-driven setting, participants will have space for candid discussion, practical insights, and strategies that can be applied immediately.

What’s On the Agenda?
The agenda is shaped by participants, ensuring the discussion reflects what credit unions are facing today. Topics participants have raised include:
  • Consumer lending trends: How are credit unions adjusting strategies to respond to shifts in member borrowing behavior and economic conditions?
  • Real estate lending dynamics: What challenges and opportunities are emerging in mortgage origination, servicing, and portfolio management?
  • Risk management in lending: How are credit unions balancing growth goals with underwriting standards and compliance requirements?
  • Member experience in lending: How are lending teams designing loan processes that are transparent and support members without increasing risk exposure?
  • Technology and process improvements: How are lending teams using technology to make better decisions and operate more efficiently?
  • Portfolio performance and reporting: How are credit unions monitoring trends, forecasting risk, and evaluating lending outcomes to guide strategy?
  • Collaboration across teams: How are lending, operations, and executive leadership working together to respond to market shifts and member needs?

If there is a specific challenge, scenario, or question you would like to bring to the group, you are encouraged to share it in advance so it can be incorporated into the discussion.

Who Should Attend?
This roundtable is intended for credit union executives responsible for lending strategy and oversight. While we are focused on leadership-level participation, we understand that team structures vary. If you are unsure whether this roundtable is the right fit, or who from your credit union should attend, please reach out — we’re happy to help identify the most appropriate participant.

To maintain a focused and productive conversation, participation is limited to no more than two attendees per credit union.

*Our roundtables are open to those with a subscription that contains roundtable access, and over 200m in assets.
