SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union serving school employees and their families, recently recognized 30 school employees, representing various categories of non-certified, non-management employees across four California counties. Nine of these school employees were also named 2025 Classified Employee of the Year by the California Department of Education.

FRESNO, Calif. (July 28, 2025) – In recognition of its ongoing commitment to expanding financial services and education throughout the community, Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) was celebrated by The Fresno Center with a red carpet event on July 28.

In response to the devastating floods that have impacted communities across Central Texas, the EECU Community Foundation has announced a $50,000 donation to The Pat Green Foundation to aid ongoing recovery and relief efforts.

The Coastal Credit Union Foundation, in partnership with Carolinas Credit Union Foundation, is proud to announce sixteen recipients of the Credit Union Scholarship Program, totaling $36,000 awarded in scholarship funds. All scholarships are merit based, with five recognizing students’ volunteerism, and five being larger amounts based on financial needs.

SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in California and the largest serving school employees and their families, helped raise awareness for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) through participation in CHLA’s Make March Matter, the Walk & Play L.A. annual event and a “T-Shirt for Kids Fridays” fundraiser for team members.
