As hunger rates climb and food pantries across Maine face critical shortages, Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger has stepped in with a $236,033 donation to Good Shepherd Food Bank—providing vital support amid a sharp rise in need and recent cuts to federal food aid.

At a special ceremony hosted by the Maine Credit Union League, the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger announced that it raised $1,303,706.40 in food and monetary donations in 2024.

At a ceremony hosted by the Maine Credit Union League, Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, announced it raised $1,221,868.94 in food and cash donations in 2023—marking a new fundraising milestone for the Campaign and exceeding its annual fundraising goal by over $200,000.
