A Patelco Credit Union member contacted us after receiving a late notice on her auto loan. She believed she was still under a temporary loan modification, but it had expired in May 2025. I explained that a letter had been sent notifying her of the expiration and the return to her original payment amount.
The member, who is currently not working due to caring for her disabled child, asked if the lower payment could continue. I reached out to our loan modification specialist and was advised to have her reapply through the pre-qualification process. After reviewing her numbers, I was happy to inform her that she pre-qualified. Her application was approved, and we sent out the modification packet the same day.
We’re grateful we could support her during this challenging time and help ease her financial burden. We also gave her SpringFour resources to ensure she has the resource if she needed it in the future.
