For the past seven years, one member has been navigating the lasting impact of an abusive relationship, including ongoing court issues and financial strain. As a parent, she does everything she can to stay strong for her children and often hides the weight she carries behind the scenes. During a recent branch visit, she felt overwhelmed after addressing an overdrawn account. Sitting in her car afterward — one she had borrowed after selling her own to pay bills — she broke down, feeling the exhaustion of trying to move forward while still tied to circumstances beyond her control.
What stayed with her most, however, was not the hardship but how she was treated. She shared that every visit to the branch has been met with kindness, patience, and respect. She specifically recognized Brianna Watts, Kaity Stocksen, Ryan Soria, and Jake Fernandes for consistently creating an environment where she never feels judged — only supported. In her words, “Small moments of kindness matter … your employees give me that every time I walk in. That means more than I can explain.”
For this member, the experience goes beyond banking. In a time when much of her life feels heavy and unseen, the branch team provides something deeply meaningful: a place where she feels respected, cared for, and not alone.
