I came to this country at a young age and spent years without stable housing. Because of that, I never believed owning a home would be possible for me, especially in New York, where the process feels overwhelming. Having the right guidance changed everything. Step by step, I was helped through the process with patience and understanding. For the first time, I felt like someone truly believed this goal was achievable. Owning a home has brought healing and stability into my life. It’s more than just a roof over my head — it’s the security of knowing my child will never experience the uncertainty I did growing up. Now that I have that foundation, I finally feel free to keep growing and working toward the future I once thought was out of reach.
