Tower Federal Credit Union today announced the launch of $250,000 for a Brighter America, a new community giving initiative celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Through the campaign, Tower and the TowerCares Foundation will invest $250,000 in local charities that support military servicemembers, Veterans, and children in need.
Members Help Direct $50,000 in Donations
As part of the initiative, Tower members can help direct $50,000 of the donation by voting online at towerfcu.org/America250 through June 30, 2026. Members can choose from five TowerCares Foundation charity partners: Blue Star Families, Fisher House Foundation, Junior Achievement of Central Maryland, Leveling the Playing Field, and the Travis Manion Foundation.
The five charities will each receive a guaranteed donation of at least $5,000. The remaining $25,000 will be distributed based on the percentage of eligible votes each organization receives.
Investing in a Brighter Future
The campaign reflects Tower’s ongoing commitment to supporting those who strengthen our communities, according to President and CEO Rick Stafford.
“As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we’re proud to invest in local organizations that make a difference in the lives of military heroes, Veterans, and children in need,” Stafford said. “Through $250,000 for a Brighter America, and by inviting our members to help direct a portion of those funds, we can work together to make a more meaningful impact and help build a brighter future for our community.”
Results Announced in July
Voting results will be announced the week of July 4 at towerfcu.org/America250.
