Building Futures, One Youth Account At A Time

I recently helped a mother who visited our branch with questions about our youth accounts. She was clearly interested in making informed financial decisions for her children, so I took the time to walk her through our youth account options in detail. I explained the benefits, features, and long-term value of starting financial education early. To help her visualize the process, I created a personalized list outlining the steps and requirements as if we were opening the accounts that day. This thoughtful approach made her feel comfortable and confident in our services, and she scheduled an appointment to return with her children.

When she came back, she followed through on her decision to move all her children’s funds from her bank to Redwood Credit Union. She opened new youth accounts with additional products such as money markets and CDs. She expressed her desire to build a full banking relationship with us, including opening a Premier Money Market account, a product that requires a full relationship with RCU.

This interaction not only brought in new accounts but also demonstrated the power of trust, education, and personalized service. By taking the time to listen and guide her, we positively impacted her family’s financial future and deepened our connection with the community. This is a clear example of how our mission to serve members with care and integrity creates lasting social impact.
