My family was evacuated from our home for eight days after the Almeda Fire destroyed our hometown of Phoenix, OR, in September of 2020. During that time we were not able to return to our home for necessities and quickly had to find resources for clothes, food, and basic items for our family of four, as well as our three pets. Our family was offered the opportunity to skip our auto payments ($977.00) through Rogue Credit Union for the month of September, which provided a huge relief to our budget.
After we returned home, we found our refrigerator and freezer had thawed, causing not only food loss but also an extensive amount of damage to our flooring throughout our kitchen and living room. Through the donation fund, Rogue was able to provide us with money to buy new groceries.
As we started to work through the process of remediation on our home, Rogue again came to our rescue with the option of a 0% APR loan to help bridge the gap between insurance deductibles and our repair cost. It was not something that I would ever have expected, but I was so grateful for the foresight and heart of this organization. Rogue partnered with my family and many others to provide support and hope in a very difficult time.
