A member reached out to RCU Auto Services with questions regarding a complicated trade-in and private party purchase he wanted to complete. It involved trading in his current vehicle, which was underwater, while purchasing his brother-in-law’s car at the same time. Due to the complexity of the request, I knew I had to team up with someone as passionate as I am who had the expertise to help expedite the process. I reached out to a branch partner that also was a convenient location for our members.
RCU Auto Services crunched the numbers; let the members know it could finance the purchase prices, taxes, and excess balance owed on the trade-in; and sent me the information to start on the funding right away. We were able to secure signatures on all the required documents via Docusign and have the DMV paperwork delivered to our branch the next day to finalize everything.
The next morning, I met with our members. We signed the DMV documents and got everything in order, including the official check for the purchase. They were blown away at how quickly and seamlessly we handled the complex request and were so thankful to the RCU team for making it happen and finding a “yes” path for them.
