I was at a physical therapy appointment yesterday when one of the therapists I regularly see noticed my Wellby polo and shared something personal. He and his wife had recently adopted a little boy, and Wellby played an important role in making that possible. When they needed a loan to assist with the adoption, he was declined by his bank. When he applied with Wellby, we took a more complete view of his situation. His traditional credit score was a 621, but his Zest score was 750, which gave us the confidence to move forward with the loan.
Hearing this story outside of a branch and in such an everyday setting was a powerful reminder that our work has real impact beyond the numbers.
