UFCU's mobile branch brings financial products, services, and education to underbanked communities that need the support. According the credit union, this is the first of its kind in Central Texas.

For members who live far from traditional brick-and-mortar branches, mobile units offer an innovative solution.

Credit Unions such as Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union ($98.4M, Petersburg, VA) and University Federal Credit Union ($4.1B, Austin, TX) have introduced a “branch on wheels” that delivers essential financial services directly to members, eliminating the need for long-distance travel while also allowing the credit union to retain long distanced members.

University FCU’s mobile unit — a converted Ford E450 van — offers a range of services, including cash transactions, an ATM, instant-issue credit and debit cards, and support for loans and new accounts.

In this webinar our guests shared best practices and lessons learned from their mobile branch initiatives, showing how these facilities can expand your credit union’s reach and meet members’ needs, no matter where they are.
