A Business Owner Puts Her Best Face Forward

Lake Trust Credit Union

Jessie Hayes is passionate about helping people feel and look their best. After building her business, Skinphorea Facial Bar & Acne Clinic, from the ground up, she was ready to expand. But then the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Jessie urgently needed additional funds to fulfill inventory and brave the challenges of owning a small business during that time, but every institution she applied to for funding turned her down. Then Jessie found Lake Trust, and received an enthusiastic “yes.”

Since those tumultuous days of the pandemic, Jessie’s business has grown and evolved. She now runs The Hayes Institute of Esthetics & Entrepreneurship where she shares her expertise as an esthetician and business owner with others in the beauty industry. And through the process of the growth and evolution of her business, Lake Trust was there to offer grants, funding, and support to help during every step.

“Lake Trust offered me grants, and I was able to get funding to help with the transition,” Jessie says. “Because I keep that relationship with the Lake Trust team, they let me know when opportunities come up. Lake Trust has always been part of the journey.”
