“My member was born with a bone disease that makes her bones very susceptible to breaks. Despite her challenges, she completed nursing school and was working as an RN at a local hospital. She unfortunately fell down a flight of stairs while at work, and the fall shattered both femurs. She was looking at a very lengthy recovery.
Luckily, she was still being paid her full salary by her employer. She called me a few weeks after the fall while still in the hospital and in much distress. She explained to me that she had already had several surgeries and was facing more. She needed money up front for two more surgeries as soon as possible. I was able to do an unsecured loan for her. She signed everything through the E-Sign process, and we were able to pay the hospital in order to get her surgeries scheduled.
She actually sent me a card after we completed the loan, expressing how much she appreciated DESCO and the fact that we see the person, not just a number. She is and will remain a loyal member of DESCO.”
