Our story began with a member visiting a branch to investigate multiple Amazon charges on his account. Helping the member navigate his account access, they discovered charges resulting from a family member that was supposed to be assisting with the member’s care but instead was supporting their own household. Helping our member, they then closed and reopened a new card, with notes added to the account to prevent reoccurrence. Lastly, we accompanied the member to the local authorities and sat with them while they completed the necessary police reports to report the instances of theft.
