Financial Comfort And Trust While Facing A Health Crisis

One of our valued members, a pastor in downtown Philly, came in recently, and we could immediately tell something wasn’t right. He was moving slow and didn’t seem like himself. Once we got him into the office, he shared that after his last visit with us, he became very sick and had to be rushed to the hospital. He found out he needed open-heart surgery. Right away, we shifted into support mode.

We helped him get everything in order — beneficiaries, setting up joint access, making sure remote deposit and online banking were ready so he wouldn’t have to worry while recovering. What meant the most to me was the trust he placed in us during such a vulnerable time. We even took a moment to pray together before he left. One of the team walked him to his car, and I called his wife to make sure she knew he was on his way home safely.

As a team, we sent him a card and plan to visit when he’s able to receive visitors. Before he left, he thanked us for our kindness, support and our caring hearts. That’s exactly who we are. We show up for our members, not just for transactions, but for moments that truly matter.
