Relief When Income Fell Short

Commodore Perry Federal Credit Union

An out-of-state member was laid off from work and was struggling to make loan payments with the limited income he was receiving through unemployment. We were able to help by offering a no-cost skip payment on one loan and filing a debt protection claim on the other loan.

Because the unsecured loan had debt protection, we were able to relieve some of his financial stress during an already difficult time. He was able to set aside enough of his unemployment income, after covering essential expenses, to make his next payment on time.

He has since paid off his loans with us, and he will always remember our generosity and willingness to help him find a solution rather than allowing him to fall further behind.
